## About this dashboard

The Revenue Pipeline dashboard brings gross and weighted pipeline, win rate, forecast close, quota coverage and attainment into one sales forecast review. It shows both pre-slip and post-slip outcomes, including the value expected to move beyond year-end, so the headline pipeline can be considered alongside closing assumptions.

The supporting workbook tracks Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation and Verbal Commit stages across 12 months. Each stage has its own deal count, average contract value and win probability. Quarterly slip analysis follows late-stage weighted value, the amount moving out of a quarter and the amount arriving from the previous quarter. Q4 outflow is reported separately as year-end leakage.

Use the dashboard for forecast calls, quota discussions and pipeline coverage planning. Sales leaders, RevOps managers, CFOs and FP&A teams can compare the weighted opportunity base with the annual target, then examine how stage probabilities, deal values, inflow growth and closing delays change the expected result.

- 12-month pipeline forecast by sales stage
- Five editable stage probabilities and deal assumptions
- Gross and weighted pipeline totals
- Quarterly pre-slip and post-slip close analysis
- Year-end Q4 slip leakage
- Quota coverage and post-slip attainment metrics

## Frequently asked questions

### How does the quarterly slip analysis work?

The model sums late-stage weighted value across each quarter, then applies the Slip_Rate to calculate outflow. The prior quarter’s outflow becomes inflow, while Q4 outflow leaves the planning year and is reported as year-end leakage. Post-slip close equals pre-slip close less outflow plus inflow.

### How is weighted pipeline calculated?

For each stage and month, weighted value equals deal count multiplied by average ACV and that stage’s win probability. The five stage values sum to total weighted pipeline, while gross pipeline uses deal count multiplied by ACV without probability weighting.

### Can I adjust stage probabilities and quota?

Yes. Stage win probabilities, baseline deal counts, average ACV, inflow growth, slip rate, and annual quota are editable assumptions. Changing them updates weighted pipeline, blended win rate, slip outcomes, coverage ratio, and post-slip attainment across the workbook.

### What does the coverage ratio measure?

Coverage ratio divides weighted pipeline at the end of the forecast by annual quota. It provides a snapshot of pipeline support for the plan, while post-slip attainment compares the annual close after quarterly slippage with the same quota.

### How does pipeline inflow growth affect the forecast?

The Inflow_Growth assumption compounds deal counts for all five stages each month. Set it to zero for a flat snapshot or change it to model a growing pipeline; gross values, weighted values, and downstream coverage then recalculate from the revised counts.
